PET material main performance

PET is a milky white or light yellow highly crystalline polymer with a smooth and shiny surface. Creep resistance, fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance and good dimensional stability, small wear and hardness, with the greatest toughness in thermoplastics: good electrical insulation, little affected by temperature, but less resistant to corona. Non-toxic, weather-resistant, good chemical stability, low water absorption, resistance to weak acids and organic solvents, but not soaked in hot water, not alkali.
PET resin has high glass transition temperature, slow crystallization rate, long molding cycle, long molding cycle, large molding shrinkage, poor dimensional stability, crystallized molding with brittleness and low heat resistance.
Through the nucleating agent and the enhancement of the crystallizer and the glass fiber, PET has the following features in addition to the properties of PBT.

3. Bending strength 200MPa, elastic modulus of 4000MPa, creep resistance and fatigue resistance is also very good, high surface hardness, mechanical properties and thermosetting plastic similar.
4. PET resins and reinforced PET are the cheapest among engineering plastics due to the almost half the price of ethylene glycol used to make PET compared to the butanediol used to make PBT, which is cost-effective.
To improve PET performance, PET can be alloyed with PC, elastomer, PBT, PS, ABS, PA.

Good chemical resistance, soluble in cresol, concentrated sulfuric acid, nitrobenzene, trichloroacetic acid, chlorophenol, insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, alkanes. Operating temperature -100 ~ 120 ℃. Bending strength 148-310MPa
