What is PP material
PP plastic also known as Polypropylene, is a thermoplastic resin obtained by the polymerization of propylene.PP material has a lower heat distortion temperature (100 ℃), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but have a stronger impact strength, PP impact strength increases with ethylene content increases. Vicat softening temperature of PP is 150 ℃. Due to the high degree of crystallinity, the material has very good surface stiffness and scratch resistance. PP does not exist environmental stress cracking problems.
Non-toxic, tasteless, low density, strength, stiffness, hardness, heat resistance are better than low-pressure polyethylene, can be used at about 100 ℃. Has good dielectric properties and high frequency insulation and is not affected by humidity, but brittle at low temperatures, not wear-resistant, easy to aging. Suitable for the production of general machinery parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulation parts. Common acid, alkali and other organic solvents it almost does not work, can be used for utensils.
Polypropylene has many excellent features:
1, the relative density of small, only 0.89-0.91, is one of the lightest varieties of plastic.
2, good mechanical properties, in addition to impact resistance, the other mechanical properties are better than polyethylene, forming a good performance.
3, with high heat resistance, continuous use temperature up to 110-120 ℃.
4, good chemical properties, almost no water, and the vast majority of chemicals do not respond.
5, the texture is pure, non-toxic.
6, good electrical insulation.
7, the transparency of polypropylene products than high-density polyethylene products, good transparency.
It has many advantages but also disadvantages:
1, poor cold resistance, low temperature impact strength.
2, products in use susceptible to light, heat and oxygen and aging.
3, coloring is not good.
4, easy to burn.
